Be.So.Melo - dramaticProject / site-specific interventions and footage-in-progress for a recovery of Cinema Heritage and a contemporary melodrama - is a project directed and produced by María Rogel 'Lapor', about melodrama, emotional impact and cinematic nostalgia. It is a tribute to Cinema and to the total and unforgettable characters of the classic films, for which we feel compassion and empathy, as if they were of flesh and bone, or loved ones, whose memory remains in our imaginary forever. The project intends to rescue that sentimentality and intimacy, those gestures, rooms, mise-en-scènes, and objects that endowed those scenes with such dramatic intensity, that once connected public to Cinema. Aims to recover the melodrama genre trough an audiovisual research that activates a collective memory of cinema. Be.So.Melo is a collective proposal genera- ted through the device of cinema verité that, through a responsible use of the new technologies, not only pays tribute to the splendor of Cinema but becomes another homage: one to the reality, the lives of the participants, the non-actors and the quotidian. A remake contaminated by local idiosyncrasies of contemporary society, that through melodrama, speaks of us.
